Tipu Ora’s relationships extend to research and academic institutions, as well as health and social service sectors. We continue to participate in and contribute to Māori oral health research and evaluation with University of Otago.

Tipu Ora also contributes to ongoing research with Auckland University of Technology, Gravida: National Centre for Growth & Development, Liggins Institute into Eating patterns in Māori preschool children.

This is a collaborative project between the Liggins Institute and Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga which is assessing eating pattern variability in young Māori children. The research focuses on the factors influencing household eating patterns with a view to developing public health advice and interventions to improve long-term health.
